One for the Wing nuts, Feb 11 It's long been a source of surprise to us that Honda's Gold Wing has struggled to gain traction in the collector market. Since its launch in 1975, it has been a hugely influential model but prices on early versions have tended to remain relatively modest – which is good news for buyers. This 1976 model is coming up for sale at Shannons in its Feb 16-23 online auction. It is listed with no reserve and is carrying an estimate of Au$8-12,000 (US$6-9500, GB£4-6700). See the listing (lot 83) here. See our Gold Wing buyer guide. See the Classic Two Wheels road test from 1975.
